Unspeakable JOY

This weekend I'll be sharing a message on THE GIFT OF JOY. This will be the third message in our RE-GIFT series during Advent.  I have been so inspired during the past two days as I have read so many scriptures on JOY!

Even though I will be sharing the message using the Magnificant found in Luke chapter 1, I have really been inspired today through 1 Peter 1:6-9 (I"ll let it speak for itself)

6 So be truly glad.[a] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

8 You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 9 The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.

When have there been times that your JOY was simply unspeakable?  too much for words? When has there been JOY rising in your soul and you knew that JOY would never let you go?

Whatever it is - stop now and thank God for it! Let JOY grow in you and produce a song of thankfulness.  Let JOY push through the cracks in your heart - even in the midst of your hurting!
